A weekend of luxury at The Londoner Hotel

Last weekend, I was graciously invited to experience a staycation at The Londoner Hotel, an oasis of luxury nestled in the heart of London. Upon arrival, the atmosphere was immediately set by an elegant pianist filling the lobby with melodious tunes, allowing us to unwind at the bar while awaiting our room. Before long, we ascended to the fifth floor, greeted by the luxury of one of the hotel's Junior Suites. The suite was a spacious haven of relaxation, boasting views of Leicester Square and Big Ben, adorned with luxurious touches such as light wood finishes, marble tables, and a cosy velvet seat. A welcoming touch was the tray adorned with sumptuous chef’s pastries alongside a bottle of champagne.

Our culinary journey continued at Whitecomb’s, the hotel’s gem offering French Mediterranean cuisine in a tapas-style setting perfect for sharing. Highlights included oysters with lemon crème fraiche and green tabasco dill oil, king prawns with lemon, chilli, and coriander, lobster linguine, and homemade bread with olive oil, complemented by a glass of white Sancerre. An evening stroll through Chinatown and Piccadilly Circus offered a dazzling view of London by night, adding a magical touch to our experience.

The next morning, we indulged in an in-room breakfast featuring a traditional English breakfast and a French breakfast with fresh pastries and orange juice, which I enjoyed in the comfort of my bathrobe—a small yet luxurious pleasure.

Though our stay was brief, it was memorable, leaving us with a lasting impression of luxury and relaxation. The Londoner Hotel stands out as a splendid choice for anyone looking to experience the best of London in style.
